40 Mobile Operators Band Together to Enhance Reliability, Resiliency and Scalability for Independent Carriers
Fort Worth, TX – October 23, 2017 – NewCore Wireless, RINA Wireless, Central LTE Holdings, STRATA Networks, West Central Wireless and Trilogy Networks today announced a working relationship of technology leaders who are collaborating to create shared resources and cost-effective solutions for the longevity of their wireless operator partners. This investment in partnership allows the group’s 40+ mobile operators to build upon their successful services and solutions to fuel revenue growth in a more efficient and competitive way.
This group is welcoming other mobile operators to leverage the joint offering of a common RAN management solution for the new Ericsson ENM and Nokia NetAct future platforms, offering LTE, UMTS, GSM, CDMA and OA&M services at a fraction of the cost of owning on their own. Pulling together the collective resources of technology and expertise, they offer feature-rich solutions and the ability for its mobile operators to bypass costly upgrade requirements for continuous support of RAN and OSS.
Interconnectivity between the carrier partners is based on Conex,TM the worlds first open-standards-based private cloud for telecom operators.
In addition, the group brings carrier partners the ability to provide comprehensive cloud-based IMS-as-a-Service, IaaS and to cost-efficiently implement VoLTE (Voice over LTE) and VoWiFi (Voice over Wi-Fi) by leveraging the economies of scale needed to succeed in the capital intensive mobile industry. IMS services opened a new era for mobile operators by eliminating the need to have voice and data on separate networks. Working together across all network platforms, carriers can cost effectively build out additional services and solutions to consumer, including video, wearables, 5G and more.
VoLTE and VoWiFi are increasingly complex to deliver when consumers use services outside of their home networks and need their devices to function across disparate technologies. This collaboration provides solutions to its mobile operator partners by offering roaming and interworking, to help operators deploy IP-based services at a lower cost and gives the ability to expand services into markets they may not otherwise have been able to serve.
