“With the NewCore Wireless LTE platform, AVS gains the ability to expand the services they offer their subscribers, providing higher data speeds with faster access to applications,” said Edwin H. Eichler, President and CEO of Agri-Valley Communications, Inc. “This alliance progresses at a time when more small and medium operators are joining together to share resources such as LTE networks and engineering services in order to competitively offer the many services subscribers demand today.”

Agri-Valley Services (formerly known as AVCI.net), has changed its name to emphasize the company’s focus on the services it offers. Along with wireless internet, AVS provides fiber connectivity, DSL, smart home & farm technologies as well as computer and networking services through their Tech Team group.

“Our partnership with NewCore Wireless positions us well into the future,” said Barb Main, AVS Manager. “While exploring all options for providing next-generation services for our subscribers, NewCore Wireless is the best fit for us. Because NewCore is a leading hosted wireless network provider and fiber engineering company to small and medium sized carriers, we have a trusted partner; one that allows us the LTE network we need and the control over our business that we want. We look forward to working with them.”

The planning and selection process, along with infrastructure work, has been underway for over a year.

“We are pleased to have been selected by Agri-Valley Services to host their LTE network,” said Albert Kangas, General Manger and COO of NewCore Wireless. “It has been our mission for nearly a decade to ensure that underserved communities have the same access to wireless communication services as those in larger communities. Our partnership with Agri-Valley Services demonstrates the value and opportunities that arise when we work together. It’s a win-win situation.”
